How to find a Yoga Bear participating studio

Hello All,

I am new here. Survivor of Pancreatic CA 3 1/2 years. Am looking for a participating studio near Jupiter, FL Don't know if this is the right way to find out.

Hi Jenifer,

Welcome to Yoga Bear. Have you filled out our participation form yet?
The link is here, it is near the bottom of the page: http://www.yogabear.org/page/programs-1
Usually once you have filled out the form, you are put on our list and we try to match you with a studio in your area. There is sometimes a bit of a wait, but we try to match people up as fast as we can.
There also may be free classes in your area, independent of our organization. Let me poke around and see what I can find in that regard.
How far are you willing/able to travel?

I am new and also looking for free or reduced yoga classes in my area, San Diego, CA. I live in the suburb called Eastlake which is in Chula Vista. These are both cities around San Diego. I also go to the cancer center in La Jolla, CA which is also in San Diego area so I could also attend classes near the cancer center. Where do I begin my search for the San Diego area. I had a bone marrow transplant for ALL Leukemia with PH chromosome positive. I still have many side effcts and take a lot of medication. I also see a pshychiatrist who along with my oncologist has suggested yoga as part of my recovery. I stay in bed all day and am very stiff with no flexibility I,m sure yoga could help me recover physically and mentally by alleviating my depreassion and being around other who understand.

Please guide me in rightdirection. Thank you in advance.

hey there liz,

i had applied to yoga bear before i signed up, and then applied on a different yoga bear page and still haven't heard back..... how long does it usually take? i have already taken the free class at Liberation Yoga in LA, CA (they participate with Yoga Bear) and want to continue as i love their Restorative Yoga classes asap.

Have you filled out the participation form? If so, you should be in our system and in process to get passes. Where are you located?
