Ok, so i don't know about you guys, but i find music to be quite a crucial part of my yoga practice.
What i want to know is, what are some of your favorite tracks to enhance your yoga session??
I think this could be quite an interesting and useful discussion for all of us :]

Here i'll start.. for me, it's all about Thievery Corporation.. I particularly enjoy how they draw a lot of musical influences from many different cultures (world music, wahoo!) , and their songs can range from energizing trip-hop to trancey downtempo.

Here's some examples:

(good for starting out your session)
Thievery Corporation - Lebanese Blonde [French]"

(good for 'coming down'.. one of my favorite Savasana tracks)
Thievery Corporation - A Gentle Dissolve

enjoy!

For an upbeat, happy practice:

Feist- Mushaboom (this is a link to the remix... if you can get the original, I think it's better)

Chairlift- Bruises

Zero 7 - Everything Up

Get your om on!
Music is a huge part of our yoga classes. We developed and produced our own album specifically tailored for a yoga practice (it is also great for chillin out). The name of our group is Belmar Sol and we are from New Jersey. We both practice yoga and one of us is an RYT500 Teacher as well. If you get some time....give us a listen below:
We also love Thievery Corporation, Zero 7, Sia, Beth Orton, Wah! and some of the othe Nutone Recs. Artists.
I prefer chanting -- Deva Premal, Girish, Snatam Kaur, Donna DeLory, Wah, Dave String, Krishna Das....nothing breaks my heart open like a beautiful Sanskit song.
