Below is a list of our partner yoga studios that offer free or donation-based classes to cancer fighters and survivors. Please read the descriptions to learn more about the classes offered and consult with your doctor to make sure a class is right for you.

Description: Living Now Yoga, under the direction of Juliana Mitchell, offers 'pay what you can/by donation only', one-on-one Restorative Yoga & Yin Yoga classes to those who are currently undergoing treatment for cancer and/or for their primary caregivers. Depending on your unique scenario, Juliana will pair you with a skilled Restorative Yoga teacher or Yin Yoga teacher and your classes may either occur in a conveniently located studio space or even possibly in your own home. Restorative Yoga & Yin Yoga are extremely gentle forms of Yoga, which are profoundly conducive to healing and rejuvenating.

Renee Heidtman has been serving as a yoga teacher, massage therapist, and wellness coach since 2000. She is living with Stage 4 Breast Cancer and has experienced many different treatment modalities. She has a compassionate heart and strives to help others find what makes them feel most at peace. This class is free of charge and is made possible by The Mindful Body, Shanti’s Breast Cancer Program, and Center for Peaceful Healing. Drop-ins and all ages welcome. No experience necessary. Description: Join therapeutic yoga instructor Cheryl Fenner Brown for two weekly classes that incorporate gentle postures, mindful breathing, and relaxation to bring balance to the body, mind and emotions. These classes are appropriate for anyone who is living with any type of cancer; whether you have just been diagnosed, are receiving treatments, or are in remission. No prior experience with yoga is required and the classes include gentle restorative asana (yoga poses), mudras (hand gestures) for healing and relaxation, stress-relieving pranayama (breathing). Both classes are offered on a sliding scale to meet the needs of the community and donations are greatly appreciated. The regular class price is $15 for a drop-in, or $50 for a series of four classes. No one will be turned away for lack of funds and please come as you are. Partial funding is provided by the Yoga Dana Foundation.

Description: Therapeutic Yoga for Cancer, a regularly-scheduled class offered free of charge at Yoga House, has been specifically designed by instructor Farzaneh Noori to address the many challenges - both physical and psychological - that face those who have been diagnosed and are undergoing treatment for cancer. Each class offers a synthesis of several natural healing modalities: restorative yoga; gentle yoga; breath work; meditation; and hands-on healing, all of which promote a state of deep relaxation which enhances the body's ability to heal itself.

The Healing Chest offers modified Yoga to address these specific health issues rather than offering a traditional Yoga class.
