FAQ

Q : I've never been to a yoga class, but this sounds interesting. Is it OK for me to come with no experience at all?

A : YES - this class is designed for beginners, and will be a very relaxing, restorative and gentle class.

Q : Is this the HOT yoga I hear about?

A : No, the room will be warm and comfortable, but not at all hot.

Q : I am still in treatment, do you think this class will be appropriate for me?

A : Yes, this class is for ALL levels of recovery, and we will adjust the class for the students who attend. A big part of yoga is learning to relax and calm your mind, thus giving your body more time to heal and rejuvenate. If relaxation is what you are looking for, we can help you find it without putting any strain on your body. But we do recommend that you check with your doctor before participating in any physical activity.

Q : I can't attend all of the classes, can I come for the ones that I can attend?

A : Absolutely. The classes are designed to offer an introduction to yoga, and will end with a certificate of completion for those that attend all 6, so we encourage you to be here for all of them if you can. That said, everyone's life gets busy, and even if you can only attend one class, we would love to have you here.

Q : Can I bring a friend?

A : ABSOLUTELY! We welcome any and all students. Classes are free for all cancer survivors and those in treatment. We request a small donation of $5 for students who are not cancer survivors.

Q : Do I have to bring in the ticket?

A : Please bring it if that is convenient, but we do have a record of everyone who has signed up, so the ticket is not required.

Q : Do I need to bring anything?

A : Sunstone Yoga provides mats and towels, but you may want to bring water. Bottled water is available for purchase at Sunstone.

Q : What should I wear?

A : Comfortable clothing that you can move in easily such as lightweight sweatpants and a t-shirt or tank top.
