I recently completed treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma and I'm excited to move on with my life as a happy and healthy individual. I hope to be able to start classes through Yoga Bear because I feel like yoga will help in my healing process.

I have been exhausted as well. I do yoga almost everyday and at first it gave me a great amount of energy but now it's starting to contribute to my exhaustion. I plan to talk to my doctor soon but I just trained to be an instructor so that could be a big part of it. It was and still is hard for me to get back to my life. I was diagnosed a year ago last month and I finished treatment about 7 or so months ago.
I began doing Hot yoga through this program. I have done it almost everyday for the last 5 months. I lost a small patch of hair on the back of my head during radiation that the doctors told me probably wouldn't come back. After a month of hot yoga my hair started growing in this spot and I felt as if the chemo was really leaving my body. It was definitely discouraging to start hot yoga because I would have to sit for a good amount of the class due to nausea and lightheadedness but I recommend it when you're ready.
Hi Cantessa,
Yes! There are passes! Please go to the 'For Survivors' and fill out the application. Also, I see you joined San Diego Yoga Bear, Catherine Gordon is the coordinator and she knows more about the passes. Good luck with your treatment and let me know how yoga goes:)Blessings, Jean
