I was diagnosed with MFH Sarcoma in my left thigh in 2006. I had surgery to remove the 8.5 cm tumor and most of my abductor muscle. I had 6 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy. Treatment ended in September 2007. So far so good.
The idea of yoga appeals to me because I have scar tissue and I'm sure some atrophe(sp?) I have no restrictions from my doctor and just know that work outs that include gentle stretching would do me well.

Our only daughter goes to SFSU...if you find a yoga bear studio in SF, please let me know. I will go when I visit her.
I find that yoga helps me stretch scar tissue on my abdomen; and even though I have lots of flesh, there's muscle under there!
