Hi, I am the Austin Chapter Director for YB! I fell in love with yoga a few years ago, and attend classes at least 2-3 times a week, primarily bikram at Yogagroove here in Austin. I love movies, the Alamo Drafthouse, animals - (especially dogs), collecting Andy Warhol artwork, sushi, supporting Austin shops/boutiques, and being a twin (on most days) ;).
I'm a strong believer in being positive in every situation, and knowing that showing your faults is ok.

I visited with Kelly regarding volunteering and it was around the time that school started back and my oldest son coming back to live with me. I never got back with her and she sent an email saying that you were taking over as Director. I am still interested in helping out. Please get with me regarding what I can do to make a difference! I am writing because I am part of a group of 4 social work graduate students at UT Austin taking an oncology class this semester. As part of our class we are doing a project involving working with a service in the community. We love the work that Yoga Bear does and we are interested in raising awareness about yoga and relaxation in the oncology community. We would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you about useful ways in which we could do a project with Yoga Bear this fall semester.
Glad to meet you too! Andy Warhol art?? That's amazing! LOL We have a lot in common. I have an art & fashion design background so A.W., sushi, shops and boutiques is definitely up my alley! If you're ever in the NYC, make sure you drop me a line! :)
On behalf of Yoga Bear in Texas, welcome! We can always use a strong dose of positive here. ;-) If you have a chance, check out the blog- I think it has a lot of good info. Please let me know if I can be of assistance; and if you'd like to volunteer on any level.
