Jaclyn has a background in jazz and tap dance, so yoga was a natural transition for her. After practicing yoga for over 10 years, she finally decided she was ready to teach and share this beautiful practice of mindful living, and moving. She recently studied with Gioconda Yoga, and became a 200 HR RYT trained in Vinyasa Yoga. She offers an integrative yoga practice that focuses on moving to the natural rhythm of your breath, and body. With respect to the many different lineages, she feels it beneficial to combine different styles of yoga, custom tailored to fit the individuals needs. Encouraging students to move from within at their own pace, and to their own breath, cultivating healing energy. She is also certified in Reiki 1 and 2, and likes to incorporate energy healing into her classes. Her background includes many different types of yoga including: Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Iyengar, and Hatha. Her biggest influences have been Sharon Moon, David Swenson, David Williams, Christina Sell, and Gioconda. In her free time she enjoys drinking tea, listening to music, and hanging out with her husband, dog, and 2 cats. She often tells people "yoga saved her life".

Sounds like you are enjoying a wonderful healing adventure in life. Let's connect and help change the world. I teach yoga to kids and teens trying to teach them healthy living skills for their entire life times.
Hi Jacelyn,
Holly mentioned that you were interested in volunteering. Thanks so much for joining the Yoga Bear community! I look forward to seeing you on Sunday. We can discuss what areas you'd like to help out with. Holly is leading the outreach activities now- yeah!- and there is lots to do. If you have not already, check out the blog and sign up to receive weekly subscriptions so you can keep up to date with all things Yoga Bear!

Dear Jaclyn,
Welcome to YB!
Yoga has a way of 'calling' to us. I find that I miss it if I don't practice one day and have to stretch out....breath deeply and move with it!
I am considering the level one training of Reiki here in San Diego. Similiar calls....from one healing art to another.
Blessings,
Jean
Yoga Bear is a national 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to connecting cancer fighters and survivors with free access to the benefits of healing yoga.
