In September 2007, I was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer. While one of the "less serious" cancers, it is still life changing; it is still cancer. Since then I've been doing what I can to improve my life and my health, and yoga has become a large part of that. I practice at every opportunity; even beyond the physical practice, integrating the mental practice into my everyday life.

I practice in Tempe/Chandler as well. I would love to visit the studio some time! Perhaps you would like to be involved with our Yogapalooza event on June 6th. It is a national fundraising event for Yoga Bear. Our Phoenix chapter will be offering alot of awesome activities, classes and workshops here locally. Let me know if you are interested! We would love to have you join us.
Hey Joey -
Welcome to Yoga Bear Arizona community! We are so happy you have joined us. I am the Arizona chapter director of Yoga Bear and I am a thyroid cancer survivor as well. I too know first hand about the healing benefits of yoga. Where do you practice in Phoenix and what type of yoga do you practice? Please watch our Arizona Group website for upcoming yoga events here in Arizona. Welcome again.
