Hi Linda,
It sounds to me that you know your body well and have honored the way it is able to move and where it is still healing. I have not heard of Team Survivor, I'm so glad that there are so many choices! When I was done with treatment six years ago, I didn't know where to begin. During treatment, I had no stamina for exercise, the weekly regime keep me pretty depleted. Breath work is so essential, to me, because when I can feel myself give way to a deep breath, I feel that feeling of "everything is okay".
Some students in my class have had the expansion recently and all did really well! It sounds that you are doing really well too! I'm happy for that and for your persistence at exercising:)Blessings,

Hi Linda,
Tell me what you felt was good for your body, and what you mean by basic.
There are 'restorative forms' of yoga that can be found called different things. At the studios I've visited and where I teach, the word "gentle" means different things , as does 'restorative". As long as you feel good,
and your breathing stays steady and full, that's the best barometer for what you can do!

Dear Linda,
Welcome to Yoga Bear, dear Warrior!
I am a survivor and so is my sister, Linda. I had colon cancer. Linda had breast cancer. I am now a yoga teacher, a YB volunteer, and I support many other cancer advocacy groups!
What kind of yoga do you think yo u are looking to do?
