I have been practicing yoga for 6 years, and resumed asana in 02/10. I was diagnosed with Stage IVb Laryngeal Carcinoma, via emergency admission to OSUMC, on 12/14/09. After 3 surgeries in 8 days (including total laryngectomy), I was discharged on 12/31/09, and have declined chemo & radiation therapies at this time--too toxic! I'm thankful to be here to join with other yogi cancer survivors and supporters in our growing community .

Dear Mark,
No doubt your sense of humor and zeal for living is giving you grace while going through cancer surgery. On the video section of the site, I have put very gentle
yoga 'for bed' in ten minute segments. I would greatly appreciate your feedback and any suggestions. Light and Peace to You, Jean
Dear Mark,
Welcome to YB! I am a survivor and a yoga teacher. I've been practicing over twenty years and now teach survivors and gentle beginning yoga. In 2003, I had stage IIIc colon cancer, I did the traditional therapies and used alternative ones, like massage, during treatment. I am NED for today. We each find our own way. Glad you are here! Blessings, Jean
