Tell us about yourself
I am a five year breast cancer survivor....having undergone bilateral mastectomies with TRAM flap reconstruction in 2004. Yoga has been an important part of my life for almost 20 years. Currently, I am a Patient Navigator with Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, working with women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Yoga is one of the tools I use to empower women to help heal themselves.

My Yoga Studio Fundraiser

During the month of May, at my home studio in Salt Lake, my students donated $200.00 to Yoga Bear. They felt blessed to have the opportunity to take yoga and donate money, knowing that those battling cancer would be able to experience the healing power of yoga.

Thank you for the good wishes, Susan. Same to you. Good to be on the same path with so many heart-felt yogis. Let me know if you ever get up my way.

Good Morning, Susan,
You can send information to my home email "yogaforcancersurvivors@cox.net" and I will cull info for the blog! I think it's important that we feature our YB supporters.
Blessings,
Jean

Hi Susan,
It will be wonderful to hear your story and have it for others to be inspired by! I blog weekly for YB and would love to 'feature' you. Please add any links you'd like. I post on Tuesdays and ususally done by Sunday so the editor has time to look it over.
Blessings!

Dear Susan,
Welcome to YB! I am a colon cancer survivor and became an instructor to gently assist other survivors to yoga and its many avenues of healing. Would love to have you write a blog of your experience, if you are willing. And, if you have an inclination to
put a podcast or video of yoga up, that would be lovely, too! Blessings, Jean
