- I was diagnosed with cancer of the base of tongue in May of 2008.mets to one lymph gland. Had a neck dissection and 35 radiation treatmetns......out of treatment for 17 months now! I am an RN; just reduced my hours to one day a week.........and am very interested in keeping active and fit. Thank you for your time.
