Why Yoga Teacher Trainings Rock!
Recently I had to come to the conclusion that I am officially addicted to taking yoga teacher training programs from multiple schools and teachers from around the world. I think it would come to no surprise with anyone on this site or in general that yoga can become quite addicting but not in a bad way. I used to be a marathon runner which got me turned on to it in the first place (ouch my knees). The adrenaline from running was…

The Yoga Community In Los Angeles Continues To Expand
To be honest, when I originally moved out from NYC to Los Angeles, I was not that thrilled. But my boyfriend had a great job opportunity and so I went with him. I was so used to practicing yoga in my city and I felt so at home and spoiled, that I just assumed nothing would ever be able to compare to it. Would Los Angeles be able to live up to all my great teachers in the Village and Union Square?
You bet they have! I must say I am quite impressed with what is going on in the…

Thank God For Holistic Dentists!
I grew up in a family that was not very health conscious. In fact my breakfast consisted of sugary cereal like Frosted Flakes or Cocoa Puffs. My lunch was either a ham and cheese sandwich, pizza, or something even more awful from the cafeteria. Because I grew up in a single family home, my dinners generally were TV dinners or microwave something or other.
As I grew older and had to learn to "grow myself up" on my own, in many ways I have had to back track and fix all the things that…

Yoga Day One
Today has been a pretty intense day. Had to pay $500 dollars for college text books, and I just lost my new necklace I ordered at the Jewel Kade party. So it is time to stop procrastinating and start my yoga sessions. I will be enjoying yoga at home and at my local gym. Well off I go.

How A Yoga Teacher Training Can Improve Your Practice
I have been practicing yoga for the past ten years and recently finished a yoga teacher training and I must say that I am so glad I did! Because I have been practicing yoga for so long, I thought that there was really no point in taking a yoga certification program because I am not looking to teach yoga professionally. But did you know there are such things as yoga immersion programs?
I first discovered yoga when I was…

As an instructor I am always looking for more training in all areas of my teaching and especially for teaching breast cancer survivors, however traveling to NYC for these trainings is not always feesible for most of us.
My suggestion and hope would be that the training for breast cancer survivors could also be offered online, maybe through the yogabear site for those of us who can't afford to travel plus pay for the conference. Charging an affortable fee for an "online training"…
