Yoga Challenge Day 1: Ujjayi Breath

Even just five minutes of Ujjayi Breath a day can be tremendously beneficial as we breath pure and energizing oxygen into our bodies, spreading the air deep into our lungs and selves. Practicing this at any time, in any place, is incredibly easy. Focusing on the quality of your breath brings you into the moment - there is nothing but the in and out of your lungs, breathing in all that is good and healing.

Breathing out and releasing any harmful thoughts, feelings and anything that is not serving you well. Living in the moment, and bringing quality of thought and attention to you and the people around you, is the purest celebration of life and living.

My sister asked me to do Ujjayi breathing w/ her before they started her chemotherapy for her stage 4 Hodgkins & stage 4 Non-Hodgkins. I now teach this breath technique to all of my breast cancer patients! thank you for giving me new wording!

I'll have to remember to do this daily for sure. I'm thinking I should try it when my kids get me all frazzled. (Well maybe in that case a shorter standing version of it.) I think it was the move from thinking to feeling part that made me think of this.

Did the breathing sitting @ my computer after teaching a Core Power class. Loved the phrase" shifting from thinking to feeling". Have come back to that several times today. Thank you

I love the focus on the natural breath. Not trying to take so many seconds to in hale or exhale. Just fully inhale and exhale to your capacity. Very nice!

That was lovely. I liked how it was slowly paced so it was easy to follow along at home...

This was a fantastic way to start my day. I had a very rough weekend and I had no motivation to get out of bed today much less deal with all of the tasks facing me. This was a great way to center, purge the weekend and prepare to face my day.
Thank you!!

What a beautifully made video! And the voice is very clear and calming.

I agree with Ellen though, I can't sit like that! Suggestions?
