The low belly is a powerful area, both physically and psychologically. Energetically, power and commitment reside in this area. Physically, the muscles in this area keep the digestive area humming along, and the low back strong and relaxed. Tune into the swirling feeling of energy that is stirred up by the end of this pose - feel that delicious movement and excitement the body feels when everything is active and engaged and ready to take on the world. As Denise says in the video, this is an area that we tend to numb out on. Check back into this area, center your thoughts on the revitalisation and good things happening - say goodbye to numb and hello to sensation.

This is a very healthful and helpful posture. Too many people have back issue caused by weak abdominal area. I am going to add this to my daily routine. May we place this on our website - www.annieappleseedproject.org? People with cancer could use this as well.
This is an areas (the abs) that can go "untapped" within the yoga practice. I have been very focused this past week with working with Uddiyana Bandha or the Abdominal Lock. This is a gentle way to bring awareness to that area of the body.
i wonder about the statement 'we as women tend to numb out' our core. i feel my center every time i move. i do like the slowness of this flow and found myself working hard.

Great core workout! Love the ease & slow movement . I think this is best for core strength and firming .
