Anyone want a free yoga teacher training? I just got word about an amazing opportunity for students to enter and win a fully paid yoga certification program via YogaTrainingGuide.com Announced over the weekend, their new annual yoga teacher scholarship program aims to support students who cannot afford a training. Students have from now until November 18 to enter the program.
There are 21 schools in which students can select their yoga teacher training from and they include Shiva Rea, Rod Stryker, Amazing Yoga, Doug Swenson (Dave Swenson's brother), Yanadara Yoga Institute, It's Yoga Thailand, Rolf Gates, Shakti Spirit, Asha Yoga, Tribe Yoga, Anuttara Yoga Shala, Rainbow Kids Yoga, Radiant Child Yoga, Etowah Valley Yoga, and many others. What's great is that there are many styles of training that include Hatha, Kundalini, Ashtanga, Power, Child, PranaFlow, and many other fusion variances.
The yoga teacher scholarship is providing students only with the tuition fees associated with the training and not travel or accommodations. There are some great training's taking place in Costa Rica, India, Thailand, and Tulum Mexico. I am considering entering for the one in Tulum being run by Amazing Yoga. If I win I suppose I will need to jpay the travel fees as I will still save $3000 on the tuition fees.
All one has to do is submit an article on why they want to become a yoga teacher and how they plan on making a positive difference in the world once they become certified. If you are interested in entering or would like more information, check out their Yoga Teacher Scholarship page which outlines the full details of how everything works and the training's you can choose from. They announce the winner in the first week of January so it is only for programs being run in 2012.
