My mother has lived with metastatic breast cancer for 22 years. Over the years, as I have tuned into the ebb and flow of her life and moods, the pattern of relapse always came immediately on the heels of a time of great stress or trauma. Yoga can help us to learn to ride the waves of life with balance and equanimity, using our practice to supportourselves in times of stress, and to celebrate ourselves and our connection to the earth in times of joy. In yoga, the neck is considered a bridge between the mind and the body. Use this pose to really strengthen that connection, breathing through and clearing blockages that impede our capacity to laugh, live and love fully in the moment.

I love these gentle ways of stretching the side waist and chest, anterior upper chest and neck. I would have liked some comments about maintaining chest position as you change arm positions. I liked that mentioned where one should feel the stretch.
I got bad news about my cancer yesterday. But now I feel so much better. I get this sense of being in the right place alive, doing this stretch and breath.

From the view point of a yoga teacher, this is a very well done video. I like the explanations linked to the physiology/pathophysiology of a breast cancer yogi. These are important energetic focus. Thanks for great video #2.
Even before my last surgery I've been limited to chair yoga. This is a wonderful re-entry to strengthen and open my body in full practice. Thank you for this challenge.
How very relaxing. I so need this. Thank-you yoga bear for helping me to understand the importance of yoga in today's world of stress. I truly appreciate it.

So much is being done here simply with breath and extension. Truly special.
Good pose for opening the shoulders after a day spend hunched over the computer in the office. Using the breath helps to increase the intensity of the stretch as well as create awareness. Thanks!
