Hi Michelle,

I just received the following "comment" to my profile which is totally inappropriate on this forum:

Hello Dear,
Am writing you after brief reading of your profile which got my attention, just to let you know that i have interest of establishing of a relations with you.

This the email you will reply to ( lenny_eden22@yahoo.in )
once i got your reply i will send you my photos and tell you more about me,
yours new friend
Lenny.

please reply to my mail box not to the site ( lenny_eden22@yahoo.in )

I wonder how this person was approved as he seems to think this is a dating site!  Please advise as to how to protect myself from this.  I have never even written a comment before but this sort thing is contrary to what we need on as yogis yoginis and cancer patients/survivors!

Please advise,

Namaste,

Barbara

Hi Michelle,

I'd like to know more about the Healing Yoga Project. How does a hospital get one started? I've recently taken a workshop, Yoga for Survivors, with Laura Kupperman and Im anxious to get started working with cancer patients, survivors and caregivers.

thanks!

Hi Michelle,
I am a recent cancer survivor, and would love to get into a yoga program.
I live in Colorado, are there any programs for survivors out here?

I am Marilou. Halle T from Yoga Bear suggested that I contact you. I am a 3-time cancer survivor and have problems with my legs such as feeling pain when I kneel and squat. I have heard about the benefits of yoga and that some poses do not require strenuous leg work, so I would like to try it. Would you know where in Manhattan I could get a free pass?

Hi Michelle, was wondering why my studio does not show up as a participating studio on the map on your site. I haven't spent enough time with this, I guess, just yet! Thanks for the help.

Hi Michelle,

I joined Yoga Bear a little over 3 weeks ago. At that time, I also filled out an application online to take Yoga classes at a NY location. I haven't heard back yet as to whether my application was approved or what I need to do next to get things rolling. Could you please let me know if there is something else I need to do to expedite the process?

Thank you so much!

-Susan

Hi Michelle, I recently joined Yoga Bear after reading the article in The Daily News. I am interested in taking yoga classes and was wondering how the process works. Will someone be contacting me regarding locations and possible membership? I live in Massapequa on Long Island. Thanks for your assistance.

Thank you for responding, it's kind of cool to have someone to talk to, it's has been a hard year for me, I was reading the daily news about a young lady who also had breast cancer, I found out she was able to get a membership for yoga, I would try to apply for myself, - just have one chemo to go, and then I start my radiation, I'm being strong for my kids, they recommend exercise, but it's hard when you're weak. Could you help me. Is it expensive-Thank you for listening.

Hi Michelle,
Thank you for contacting me. I live in Staten Island. I've been told that there're no studios in my area. Do you know if there are any studios in Brooklyn or close NJ? My zip: 10309.
Thanks,
Yana

I suppose being Chapter director of NYC and NJ area you wouldn't know of any yoga sites in the Long Island area? How can we encourage these places to participate?

Hi Michelle,
I'm rather new to this "networking" thing, therefore somewhat hesitant. Thanks for contacting me. I originally signed on to see about yoga classes around the long island area. I see that there is plenty in nyc. Do you know of any classes going on in my area? Otherwise, I keep checking to see what activities are going on. Thanks,
Miguel
