Dear Halle, This is an amazing venture you have started, thank you.
I am working on getting the word out on a program I have started in Denver, CO.
The Healing Chest, www.thehealingchest.org
A Restorative Yoga Therapy program created specifically for women recovering from prophylactic or therapeutic surgeries related to breast cancer. The Healing Chest offers therapeutic Yoga to address these specific health issues rather than offering a traditional Yoga class. The ancient traditional Yoga practices may be modified to accommodate the post-surgical limitations of breast surgery patients. Each class is designed to increase the mind-body connection with the intent to augment healing.
I am a brand new breast cancer survivor, my story can be read at www.thehealingchest.org any suggestions you may have would be heartily appreciated. Although we are not yet a 501c3, we are looking into it, we are volunteer based.
Thank you so much for providing this platform, it is quite amazing.

What a GREAT service you are providing. I teach yoga to breast cancer survivors & the hardest part seems to be getting them to come to a class. Yoga Bear allows them to practice yoga, many times for the first time, in the comfort of their own home. They can build strength, stamina and confidence in their new body, in whatever phase of treatment or post treatment they are in.
Thank you!

thanks, Halle. I have just heard that there is a Yoga Bear program in Cleveland. I am trying to find out who might know more about this from the web.
hope you're doing well
Hi Halle, Happy New Year! We corresponded a few months ago about donating a portion of our revenue to YogaBear and we are sending out our first donations. Do you have a physical address that I could send the check to. YogaVibes is doing well and growing, so we hope to be able to contribute increasing amounts each quarter. Thanks for all that you do!
Sincerely,

Halle,
What a small world! I was flipping out when I saw you on Twitter! I also didn't know you were at HBS. My hubby graduated in '98. I hope you are having the time of your life! Also, the Harrah's CEO was one of my hubby's profs back then.
Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving. We have much to be thankful for.

I think what you are doing is great. My brother has lymphoma non-hodgkins and just completed chemo as well as a stem cell transplant a few months ago. I've been practicing yoga for five years and just became certified. I see so many benefits of yoga and I love how you are brining this to cancer patients. I can definitely see that my brother could benefit a lot from yoga. I hope he comes to one of my classes when I start teaching. I think those with cancer can greatly benefit from yoga and I'm so glad you are helping to make this happen. I came across your website when searching for non profit yoga organizations. And this really hit home because of my brother. Thanks for being an inspiration and showing how people can make a huge difference. I would love to get yoga studios in Oregon involved. I go to CorePower Yoga, which is huge here (their headquarters are in Colorado and have studios in Oregon, Minneapolis, Califorian and Illinois). I will tell them about you!
Hi Halle,
You mentioned to me over the summer that you were moving to my neck of the woods, Boston. I hope you are settled in and like your new home. I would love to talk to you soon about teaching for yoga bear.
Namaste,

Hello Halle - thanks for inviting me to be a friend and for starting Yoga Bear. You are a beautiful soul, inside & out. I am new to this and look forward to finding a Center to connect with. Have a beautiful day.
