I make fruit smoothies to bring to work every day. The retreat inspired me to "get my greens in" by liquidating them. Since I can find the time to do a smoothie, and a juice from a juicer, I want to combing the 2 and have green smoothie! Crazy day at work, wished I'd called in and curled up on the couch with the Lifetime channel. Then went to Curves to exercise. Glad to be home and winding down! Looking forward to a 3 day weekend, both kids will be home for College break and I'm taking 1 more kayaking trip to the Scarborough Marsh if the weather cooperates.
I'm glad to hear you like the Blendtec, I was doing a lot of research and having a hard time deciding between that and the Vitamix. If you have any favorite recipes for the blendtec or tips please let me know. I herb is a great site and I didn't know about until Dr Wotiwicz (spelling?) told me about it. For the mushrooms, I buy Host Defense by New Chapter which is all the mushrooms. Do you recommend any other appliances or will the blendtec be enough since it's supposed to be a food processor, grinder, etc.?
Hi, just ordered a Blendtec from 2 Life Health Products, can't wait!! The cooking class was good, new recipes to include chocolate tofu pie for dessert, yummy!
P.S. I buy my herbs on the iherb.com website. It's much cheaper than the health food stores. I don't know if the mushrooms are working but I haven't gotten sick yet!
Hi Marsha, thanks for the offer of sharing your magazine. I may take you up on it sometime but I just got Crazy, Sexy, Cancer, the book and the video, (I thought I was buying 2 books), and Anticancer, A new way of life, and Raw Inspiration. By the way, I returned my juicer after doing some research. I'm going to order a "Blendtec", to make green smoothies. The juicer was too much work! I want to do everything with 1 appliance and have 1 thing to wash! Eating right at home is easy for me. the tough part is when I go away for the weekend like I did last weekend, and go out to restaurants. Not too many good choices unless you prepare it yourself! I'm watching a Dr. Oz show on cancer that I taped while at work then off to bed. Take care and keep in touch, Pat
