Thank you so much for offering to help me get the word out about this event! What email address would you like me to send them to for you to forward? (Was it yogaforcancersurvivors@...?) I can also send the info to your friend directly at her email. I truly appreciate your help! I will send them over sometime today or tomorrow afternoon.
I am so glad we got in touch! Would you be able to let your Dallas contacts know about the BreatheCure Conference? I would really appreciate help spreading the word about this event. It truly is a unique opportunity to bring everyone together from the wellness community. Would you also be interested in doing a blog post about the BTC Conference? If you need any additional information or photos, or if you'd like to speak with any of the people involved, please let me know and I can set it up for you.
That's great! It seemed like something you would be interested in! I look forward to speaking with you soon & will continue to post blogs for updates on the conference.
Hi Jean! You sent me a welcome message about a year ago and I am thankful for that... because now I am trying to donate classes and can't figure out where to do it on this website. Am I missing something? I recently bought a house and have fixed up part of the house as a yoga studio and am ready to start classes. Could you please direct me as to how to get things started? Thanks!
Hi Jean - We do have Kids classes. Currently, they're for 4 - 7 yrs old. But if she wanted to attend class with her mother, we'd be happy to have them in our regular classes.
Thank you for such a warm welcome. I am not a Yoga instructor. I am a mental health professional teaching mindfulness and skills to chronically ill patients.
I am enjoying my Cancer Survivor Classes at OM in NYC. My daughter is in Yoga teacher training at a studio in CT. I have been passing all the wonderful information to her... love the videos on the website. I have been using Kate's "Thriving Yoga "at home since early in my treatment.
Thanks, Jean ~ my name is Celtic birth given (first name) and Sufi second name ;)
I'm going to do a blog on my website as I redo it .... hmmm, different one here? It really *is* an opening experience.....the studio I go to isn't listed, is there someone to talk to about that? They're cool though, they also have work study so I'm applying for that ~ yoga feels really important in these next steps in my journey.....
Thank-you for the welcome Jean. I have thought about doing the same. How did you get your teacher certification?
We are starting a cancer support group at our church and it would be the perfect place for me to be able to help others. I'm afraid I'm a long way to being good enough to be certified to teach...but then again if I can go through cancer treatment I can do anything with God's help!
I'm glad to hear your treatment was a sucess!
Hi Jean! The class went well, I had just one student - Claire in fact - but it was nice! I love the studio space :) pretty! I hope it will grow though!!!
I admit I am a little worried that I'm charging a fee - maybe that turns people off. I'd love to do for free, but have to pay the studio, and I negotiated to half the usual rate that they charge... I hope this will not diffuse the good effects. If I ever make money from this, I will donate it... I.
Hi! I will definitely be at the hazard center class next week. I still have a pikk line in so it will have to be low impact. Do I need to call the Y before I come? Thanks!
Thanks so much for your information on Lymphoma, it si kinda of a scary thing when you don't know much about this disease. I've been trying to read up on it all that I can. Pat
Thank you for contacting me. I have a friend in my neighborhood who invited me to Yoga classes. I am going to my first Yoga class with her tomorrow evening. Donna

Hi Jean & Yoga for Cancer Care Friends. I teach 'Yoga for All' classes in a cancer hospital to outpatients, caregivers and staff. Recently I have begun to work at the bedside providing guided breath work and gentle stretching to assist patients with experiencing a greater sense of ease in their bodies. This summer I completed a wonderful professional training at Duke Integrative Medicine- 'Yoga of Awareness for Cancer' which is an innovative, evidenced-based program created by Jim & Kimberly Carson. I look forward to connecting with the Yoga Bear Community- Tammy
Hullo Jean & all yogabear fans in US, am just getting back in touch after taking some personal down time, I have just completed a 'Cancer Conscious Yoga training' here in Ireland and look forward to co-ordinating with you all in the states, shanti, eileen
