Hi Halle-
I'm in awe of the community that you've built! I'm currently involved with the Urban Zen Foundation in New York City. Our mission is to help bring integrative therapies and therapists into hospitals in an effort to work in a collaborative way with medical treatments and reduce pain, anxiety, depression and a host of symptoms through yoga therapy, Reiki, aromatherapy, pranayama, etc. We are currently waiting for the data from the 1 year pilot study at Beth Israel Medical Center. Fingers crossed that our wonderful modalities result in patient symptom relief. I will be checking in for opportunities here in New York City and wish you a wonderful journey. I love cupcakes too. Blessings, Kim
Hi Halle! Good to hear from you! I haven't taken any more classes because my passes ran out and Michelle hasn't gotten word back from the studio yet. Keeping my fingers crossed. So far, I think I will be in town.....please keep me advised! Would love to meet you!
Hi Halle, yes it is - just a bit of a drive into the "city" but about 20 minues from the city border. Let me know how I can support the program here in Illinois...Namaste.
Hi Halle I like to know if yogabear is in Washington D.C. I think can help me a lot, to my soul and health. I love animals too...guuuaaauuuu.
I'm looking forward to know more. LOVE Cris
Hi Halle,Yes, I would like to share ideas on Self Care after Breast Surgery...yet have a few questions. How long would the column need to be? How much interaction would be necessary from me, eg comments and questions to reply to personally?(time involved?) and is my info still MINE to use in other ways, as in print in another article or column somewhere ? I'm very busy with marketing my new yoga classes and teaching them, so I don't want to take on toooo much. Keeping it simple is my motto now! thanks, Beth
It was am amazing experience, doable, even for a beginner to stay the whole day. And I was blessed to win so many raffle prizes (2 yoga mats for my elementary school classroom and a Seane Corn DVD, someone I've admired from afar for a very long time! And, I also took home some wonderful silent auction prizes. So happy that it was all for such a good cause. BTW, are you involved at all with "Cancer Schmancer" in LA? A friend from high school is on their board. Take care!
yes, actually! on WPR. It was good timing for me. I had just randomly turned on the radio while driving to teach a class at a local senior independent living facility. What a wonderful organization you have made.
Hey Halle,
That was so sweet of you!
Let's do some emailing and thinking how we can combine our
passions and make this work for cancer survivors. I know we
can come up with a win/win!
Blessings!
Jean
